When coping with grief after suffering a loss it can be useful to know where to look for help. We have compiled some of the most useful places for advice and support.

Dying Matters

Full of resources to help people cope and understand death and dying.  They also run the Dying Matters Awareness Week in May which aims to encourage people to think and talk about death.

This website is regularly updated and contains information, local support services and links to other resources available within the NHS.

Cruise Bereavement Care

Cruise is the leading bereavement charity in the UK. They provide telephone, email and face to face support as well as support for children and young people.

Provides specialist support for bereaved families coping with grief and anyone affected by a sudden infant death support services.

Samaritans

Someone to talk to in your way, off the record about whatever is getting you down. The Samaritans have volunteers, not paid professionals who are there to listen rather than to try and ‘fix’ you.

Counselling directory

Counselling Directory is a confidential service that encourages those in distress to seek help. The directory contains information on many different types of distress, as well as articles, news, and events.
